Thank you, Ventura!

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

Last Saturday was our Buenaventura show in Ventura, CA, and it was a blowout- the likes of which have never been seen in this sleepy surf town. We got tons of amazing art donated, hung out with old friends, met new friends, raised some money, listened to tunes by Mr. Dope America, drank free beers, and had a good time all around. Click the pic below to see a higher res version of the wall of art.

Artists included were: Joe Castro, Steve Olson, Rosamond Rice, Michael Coleman, Day 19, Bret Banta, Rob Meinhardt, Billie Stone, Ralfinoe, Geoff Mcfetridge, Steph Walker, Steven Nereo, Doug Miles, Greg Shewchuk, Emily Shur, Craig Champion, Rob Locker and a few others. There was a custom surfboard donated as well, tons of tshirts (Banta, Solitary Arts, Steven) stickers and fun things, and some of the intern-painted Little Monsters. The boards along the top were all painted by students of Fillmore Middle School in Ventura. We are raising money to turn these into completes and send them to Board Pals in Haiti! Look out!

If you missed the show, come by Artwalk next weekend at the Brewery in Downtown LA (642 Moulton Ave., W-1, 90031) and see it all in person.

Peace out, stay tuff
